About & methodology
TradeSoftwareList helps owners of home service businesses compare software before they book a demo. We track 29 tools across 11 trades.
Where our data comes from
- Prices and plans come from each vendor's public pricing page. Every profile links to that page and shows the date we checked it.
- Quote-only vendors are labeled as such. We never estimate a price a vendor hasn't published.
- Features are what the vendor lists for its plans. A dash in a comparison table means the feature isn't listed, not that it can't be bought as an add-on.
- Pros and cons are our summary of those published facts: pricing structure, plan limits, trial terms and trade focus.
How lists are ordered
On trade pages, featured (paid, clearly labeled) listings appear first. After that, full business-management platforms come before add-on tools (such as photo documentation or simple invoicing apps), then tools built specifically for the trade, then widely used tools, then tools that publish their pricing, then alphabetical order. Alternatives are ordered by how many of the same trades they serve.
How we make money
Some outbound links are affiliate links, and vendors can pay for a labeled featured placement. Neither affects the facts on a profile, the pros and cons, or comparison results. See our affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Prices change often. If you spot something out of date, send a correction and we'll recheck it against the vendor's site.
